What the Plot is my little corner of the internet where I review books that made me feel something (even if that something was mild existential dread), compare streaming series to their literary counterparts (spoiler: the book is usually better, but I’m not always a purist), and chronicle the behind-the-scenes chaos of starting a blog with more enthusiasm than technical skill.

I started this journey with a love of twisty plots, morally gray characters, and the kind of stories that keep you up too late on a work night. Now, I get to share that obsession with you — and maybe help you find your next favorite read (or skip one that just isn’t worth the page count).
